Introduction

  • The ALPS pressure module is a pressure sensing solution designed based on the ADS131M02, specifically developed for automatic Z-axis homing and mesh bed leveling in 3D printers. By utilizing high-sensitivity pressure detection and real-time signal processing, the module can accurately sense the contact status between the print head and the bed, achieving millimeter-level leveling precision, eliminating errors from traditional mechanical limit calibration, and significantly improving first-layer printing success rates.

ALPS Pressure Module Precautions

  • When using the ALPS pressure module, it is recommended to pair it with the wiper function to ensure nozzle cleanliness, thereby enhancing leveling accuracy and stability.

Installation Precautions

  • Secure Module Installation: Ensure the module is firmly installed to avoid poor contact caused by printing vibrations.
  • Proper Cable Connection: Carefully check the wiring to ensure it is correct, preventing module failure due to wiring errors.
  • Perform Leveling Test: Before first use, execute multiple leveling tests to verify whether the module's sensitivity and accuracy meet requirements.
  • Must Connect to Mainboard: Connecting only the TYPE-C cable and the pressure module will not allow it to work (including debugging). The module must be connected to the mainboard or tool board and activated in the console/software to function properly.

Status Light Indication

  • Prerequisite: The status light indication is only valid after the module is correctly wired and enabled in the console.
  • Power-On Status: The green and red frame status light stays on, indicating normal module operation.
  • Trigger Status: The red frame status light flashes, indicating that the module is in a triggered state.

Status Light Troubleshooting

  • If the status light does not illuminate, check whether the power wiring is correct.
  • If the status light continues to flash, the module may be detecting an abnormal signal. Check if the probe is stuck by debris or damaged.
