Introduction

  • The ALPS Pressure Module is a pressure sensing solution based on the ADS131M02, specifically developed for 3D printer automatic Z-axis homing and mesh bed leveling. Through high-sensitivity pressure detection and real-time signal processing, the module can accurately sense the contact state between the print head and the bed, achieving millimeter-level leveling accuracy. It eliminates errors from traditional mechanical limit calibration and significantly improves the success rate of the first layer print.

ALPS Pressure Module Notes

  • When using the ALPS pressure module, it is recommended to pair it with a nozzle wiping function to ensure nozzle cleanliness, thereby improving leveling accuracy and stability.

Installation Notes

  • Secure Module Installation: Ensure the module is firmly installed to avoid poor contact caused by printing vibrations.
  • Correct Cable Connection: Carefully check the wiring to ensure it is correct, preventing module failure due to incorrect connections.
  • Perform Leveling Tests: Before first use, perform multiple leveling tests to verify that the module's sensitivity and accuracy meet requirements.
  • Must Connect to Mainboard: Connecting only the TYPE-C cable and the pressure module will not work (including debugging). The module must be connected to the mainboard or a tool board, and the module must be enabled in the console/software before it can function normally.

Status LED Indication

  • Prerequisite: The status LED indication is only valid when the module is correctly wired and turned on in the console.
  • Power-On State: The green and red frame status LEDs are steadily lit, indicating the module is operating normally.
  • Triggered State: The red frame status LED blinks, indicating the module is in a triggered state.

Status LED Troubleshooting

  • If the status LED does not light up, check if the power wiring is correct.
  • If the status LED blinks continuously, the module may be detecting an abnormal signal. Check if the probe is stuck by debris or damaged.
