Connecting to the Upper Computer via SSH

Danger
  • This document is only applicable to FLY upper computers
  • For firmware compilation and flashing, please refer to the network connection tutorial instead of the serial port connection tutorial
  • You can connect to the device via serial port or WiFi
  • Please prepare MobaXterm_Personal or other SSH terminal tools in advance
  • Ensure that the SD card or M2WE has been flashed with the corresponding system for the upper computer
  • If the upper computer fails to start properly, please remove peripherals such as drivers, limit switches, and fans!!!
  • Finally, connect via network to SSH for easy firmware compilation!!
  • If firmware compilation is needed, please refer to the tutorial for connecting to the upper computer via WiFi or Ethernet cable

  • Ensure that the system card has the corresponding system flashed; otherwise, it will not boot

Installing the Antenna

  1. Install the antenna for the M2WE or 2.4G WiFi module
Caution
  • The FLY upper computer requires an M2WE or 2.4G WIFI module; otherwise, WiFi cannot be used
  • Note that the upper computer does not support WiFi with Chinese names or dual-band (2.4G and 5G) combined WiFi
  • The red arrow indicates the WiFi antenna interface
  • The WiFi antenna port is ipex1
  • Install the antenna on the M2WE; otherwise, poor signal may prevent connection to the router

Power Supply

  • Use a USB Type-C cable to connect the FLY upper computer to your PC
  • Ensure that the USB Type-C cable supports data transfer!
  • After the system boots, the indicator light will flash rapidly!!
  • Flashing indicates that the system has started

Connecting via SSH

Connecting to Host Machine SSH via Serial Port Using Web Page

  • Connect the host machine to the computer via USB, then click Device Connect below.

  • If successful, USB Serial or a similar device will be displayed.

  • Select the corresponding device, then click Connect.

  • A prompt will appear upon successful connection.

  • FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow.

  • Starting from version V1.3.2, the FAST system automatically logs in via serial connection by double-clicking or pressing Enter twice consecutively.

  • The content shown in the image below will appear after pressing Enter.
