How to Determine Which Firmware You Need

Caution

Note: Since the C8 is an integrated mainboard with both upper and lower computers, if you are not using a CAN tool board, you must select the USB firmware!!!
When using a CAN tool board, you must select the CAN bridge firmware.

USB Firmware
- Advantages: The most commonly used connection method in 3D printers, reliable and stable communication.
- Disadvantages: May affect data transmission if multiple USB devices are connected.
USB Bridge Firmware
- Advantages: Can connect multiple devices simultaneously without occupying USB ports. Only required when using a CAN tool board.
- Disadvantages: The initial firmware compilation and flashing process may be more complicated.

Tip

FLY C8 connects to the upper computer via DIP switches. If the DIP switch positions are incorrect, it will not function properly.

Important

Please note that the DIP switches must be set to specific positions to establish a proper connection with the upper computer.

Set DIP switches 1 and 2 to the right to connect the lower computer to the upper computer via the built-in USB.
Set DIP switches 3 and 4 to the left; otherwise, the connection between the lower and upper computers may be affected.
