Connecting to the Upper Computer via SSH
- This document is only applicable to FLY upper computers
- For firmware compilation and flashing, please refer to the network connection tutorial instead of the serial connection tutorial
- You can connect to the device via serial port or Wi-Fi
- Please prepare MobaXterm_Personal or another SSH terminal tool in advance
- Ensure that the
SDcard orM2WEhas been flashed with the corresponding upper computer system - If the upper computer fails to boot normally, please disconnect peripherals such as drivers, limit switches, and fans!!!
- Finally, connect via SSH over the network for convenient firmware compilation!!
- If you need to compile firmware, please follow the tutorial for connecting to the upper computer via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable
Installing the System Storage Card
- Ensure the system card has been flashed with the corresponding system; otherwise, it cannot boot
- Installation of M2WE on C8P Diagram
- Installation of TF Card on C8P Diagram
Installing the Antenna
- Install the antenna for the
M2WEor2.4G Wi-Fimodule
- FLY upper computers require the
M2WEor2.4G Wi-Fimodule; otherwise, Wi-Fi cannot be used - Please note that the upper computer does not support Wi-Fi names in Chinese, nor does it support combined 2.4G and 5G dual-band Wi-Fi
- The red arrow indicates the Wi-Fi antenna interface
- The Wi-Fi antenna port is
ipex1 - Please install the antenna onto the M2WE; failure to do so may result in poor signal and inability to connect to the router
Power Supply
- Use a
USB Type-Ccable to connect the FLY upper computer to the PC - Ensure the
USB Type-Ccable supports data transfer! - After the system boots, the indicator light will flash rapidly!!
- Flashing indicates that the system has started

Connecting to Host Machine SSH via Serial Port Using Web Page

Connect the host machine to the computer via USB, then click
Device Connectbelow. -
If successful,
USB Serialor a similar device will be displayed. -
Select the corresponding device, then click
Connect. -
A prompt will appear upon successful connection.

FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow.

Starting from version
V1.3.2, the FAST system automatically logs in via serial connection by double-clicking or pressing Enter twice consecutively. -
The content shown in the image below will appear after pressing Enter.

Connecting to Host Machine SSH via Serial Port
- If the host machine is properly connected to the computer, open Device Manager to see the
CH340port.
- Open
MobaXtermand configure as follows. Select the port previously seen in Device Manager.
- Please note that
Speed(bps)*must be set to115200.
- If everything is normal, the boot screen will appear.
- Wait a moment; the system is booted when this screen appears.
If after a few minutes, the screen shows nothing like the image below, press Enter a few times.

IP, ensure a network cable or Wi-Fi is connected. Connect WIFI
Connecting to Host Machine SSH via Network IP
- Log into the router admin panel that the host machine is connected to, unless you know the host machine's IP address.
- Ensure you know the host machine's username and password.
- FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow.
- If the motherboard has started and is connected to the network, you can connect to SSH using the following method.
- Open MobaXterm and configure as follows. Fill in the IP viewed previously, or check it in the router admin panel.
Note: Step 4 here requires entering the host machine's username.
- The first time you connect, this window will pop up. Click
Accept.
- You will be prompted to enter the password. Enter the host machine's password and press Enter.
Note: The password entered here is invisible. Just press Enter after typing.
- For the FLY-FAST system, username is
root, password ismellow.
- The interface below indicates successful login.
- The FAST system updated the following style after version V1.3.0.
- Login successful.
