Connecting to the Host Computer via SSH

Danger
  • This document applies only to FLY host computers
  • If you are compiling and flashing firmware, please refer to the network connection tutorial instead of the serial port connection tutorial
  • You can connect to the device via serial port or WIFI
  • Please prepare MobaXterm_Personal or other SSH terminal tools in advance
  • Ensure that the SD card or M2WE has been flashed with the corresponding host system
  • If the host computer fails to start properly, remove peripherals such as drivers, limit switches, and fans!!!
  • Finally, connect via network to SSH for convenient firmware compilation!!
  • If you need to compile firmware, please refer to the tutorial on connecting to the host computer via WIFI or Ethernet cable

Install the System Storage Card

  • Ensure the system card has the corresponding system flashed, otherwise it will not boot

Install the Antenna

  1. Install the antenna for the M2WE or 2.4G WiFi module
Caution
  • FLY host computers require the use of M2WE or 2.4G WIFI modules; otherwise, WiFi cannot be used
  • Please note that the host computer does not support WiFi networks with Chinese names, nor does it support combined 2.4G and 5G dual-band WiFi
  • The red arrow indicates the WIFI antenna interface
  • The WIFI antenna port is ipex1
  • Please install the antenna onto the M2WE; otherwise, weak signal may prevent connection to the router

Power Supply

  • Connect the FLY host computer to the PC using a USB Type-C cable
  • Ensure the USB Type-C cable supports data transfer!
  • After the system boots, the indicator light will flash rapidly!!
  • Flashing indicates that the system has started

Connect via SSH

Connecting to Host Machine SSH via Serial Port Using Web Page

  • Connect the host machine to the computer via USB, then click Device Connect below.

  • If successful, USB Serial or a similar device will be displayed.

  • Select the corresponding device, then click Connect.

  • A prompt will appear upon successful connection.

  • FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow.

  • Starting from version V1.3.2, the FAST system automatically logs in via serial connection by double-clicking or pressing Enter twice consecutively.

  • The content shown in the image below will appear after pressing Enter.
