How to Determine Which Firmware You Need
Caution
- Note: Since the C8 is an integrated mainboard with both upper and lower computers, you must select the
USB firmwareunless you are using a CAN tool board! - When using a CAN tool board, you must select the
CAN bridge firmware.

USB Firmware
- Advantages: The most common connection method in 3D printers, reliable and stable communication.
- Disadvantages: Multiple USB devices may affect data transmission.

CAN Bridge Firmware
- Advantages: Can connect multiple devices simultaneously without occupying USB ports. Only use this firmware when using a CAN tool board.
- Disadvantages: The initial firmware compilation and flashing process can be more complicated.
DIP Switch Introduction
Tip
The FLY C8 connects to the upper computer via DIP switches. If the DIP switch positions are incorrect, it will not function properly.
Important
Please note that the DIP switches must be set to specific positions to establish a proper connection with the upper computer.
Connecting to the Onboard Upper Computer
- Set DIP switches
1and2to the right to connect the lower computer to the upper computer via the built-in USB. - Set DIP switches
3and4to the left; otherwise, they may interfere with the connection between the lower and upper computers.Loading... - After setting the DIP switches as described, the USB port below will be occupied by the lower computer. Do not connect other devices to it.
