Firmware Flashing Instructions

How to Determine Which Firmware You Need

Caution
  • Note: Since the C5 is an integrated mainboard (combining upper and lower computers), you must select the USB Firmware unless you are using a CAN tool board!
  • When using a CAN tool board, you must select the CAN Bridge Firmware.
  • USB Firmware
    • Advantages: The most common connection method in 3D printers, offering reliable and stable communication.
    • Disadvantages: Multiple USB devices may potentially affect data transmission.
  • CAN Bridge Firmware
    • Advantages: Allows connecting multiple devices simultaneously without occupying a USB port. Only use this firmware when using a CAN tool board.
    • Disadvantages: The initial firmware compilation and flashing process can be more complex.

DIP Switch Introduction

  • The FLY C5 uses DIP switches to select the connection method between the upper and lower computers. Incorrect DIP switch positions will prevent the upper computer from connecting to the lower computer. Please pay close attention!!!

Onboard DIP Switch Instructions

Important Notice
  • For normal operation, set the DIP switches to the "ON" position (upward).
  • When switching, push the switches fully upward. Otherwise, connection to the lower computer may fail!!!
