How to Determine Which Firmware You Need

Caution
  • Note: Since the C5 is an integrated motherboard combining both upper and lower computers, if you are not using a CAN tool board, you must select the USB firmware!!!
  • When using a CAN tool board, you must select the CAN bridge firmware
  • USB Firmware
    • Advantages: The most common connection method for 3D printers, reliable and stable communication
    • Disadvantages: Multiple USB devices may affect data transmission
  • USB Bridge Firmware
    • Advantages: Allows connecting multiple devices simultaneously without occupying the USB port. Only use this firmware when using a CAN tool board
    • Disadvantages: The initial compilation and flashing of the firmware may be more cumbersome.

DIP Switch Introduction

  • The FLY C5 uses DIP switches to select the connection method between the lower computer and the upper computer. If the DIP switches are set incorrectly, the upper computer may fail to connect to the lower computer. Please pay close attention!!!

Onboard DIP Switch Instructions

  • For normal use, please set the DIP switches to the UP position
  • When setting the DIP switches, ensure they are pushed all the way up; otherwise, the lower computer may not be connected!!!
