Connecting to the Upper Computer via SSH

  • This document applies only to FLY upper computers
  • For firmware compilation and flashing, please refer to the network connection tutorial instead of the serial port connection tutorial
  • You can connect to the device via serial port or WiFi
  • Please prepare MobaXterm_Personal or another SSH terminal tool in advance
  • Ensure that the SD card or M2WE has been flashed with the corresponding upper computer system
  • If the upper computer fails to start normally, please remove peripherals such as drivers, limit switches, and fans!!!
  • Finally, connect via network to SSH for convenient firmware compilation!!
  • For firmware compilation, please follow the tutorial for connecting to the upper computer via WiFi or Ethernet cable

  • Ensure the system card has been flashed with the corresponding system, otherwise, it will not boot

Installing the Antenna

  1. Install the antenna for the M2WE or 2.4G WiFi module
Caution
  • The FLY upper computer requires an M2WE or 2.4G WiFi module; otherwise, WiFi will not be available
  • Please note that the upper computer does not support WiFi networks with Chinese names or dual-band (2.4G and 5G) combined WiFi
  • The red arrow indicates the location of the WiFi antenna connector
  • The WiFi antenna connector is ipex1
  • Please install the antenna on the M2WE; otherwise, signal issues may prevent connection to the router

Power Supply

  • Use a USB Type-C cable to connect the FLY upper computer to your computer
  • Ensure that the USB Type-C cable supports data transfer!
  • After system startup, the indicator light will flash rapidly!!
  • Flashing indicates that the system has started

Connecting to SSH

Connecting to Host Machine SSH via Serial Port Using Web Page

  • Connect the host machine to the computer via USB, then click Device Connect below.

  • If successful, USB Serial or a similar device will be displayed.

  • Select the corresponding device, then click Connect.

  • A prompt will appear upon successful connection.

  • FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow.

  • Starting from version V1.3.2, the FAST system automatically logs in via serial connection by double-clicking or pressing Enter twice consecutively.

  • The content shown in the image below will appear after pressing Enter.
