Connecting to the Upper Computer via SSH

Danger
  • This document only applies to FLY upper computers
  • If you are compiling or flashing firmware, please refer to the network connection tutorial, not the serial port connection tutorial
  • You can connect to the device via serial port or WiFi
  • Please prepare MobaXterm_Personal or another SSH terminal tool in advance
  • Ensure that the SD card or M2WE has been flashed with the corresponding upper computer system
  • If the upper computer does not boot properly, please remove peripherals such as drivers, limit switches, fans, etc.!!!
  • Finally, please connect via network to SSH for easy firmware compilation!!
  • If you need to compile firmware, please refer to the tutorial for connecting to the upper computer via WiFi or Ethernet cable

Installing the System Storage Card

  • Ensure the system card has been flashed with the corresponding system, otherwise it will not boot

Installing the Antenna

  1. Install the antenna for the M2WE or 2.4G WiFi module
Caution
  • The FLY upper computer requires an M2WE or 2.4G WIFI module, otherwise WiFi cannot be used
  • Please note that the upper computer does not support WiFi with Chinese names, nor dual-band (2.4G and 5G) combined WiFi
  • The red arrow indicates the WiFi antenna connector
  • The WiFi antenna connector is ipex1
  • Please install the antenna on the M2WE, otherwise poor signal may prevent connection to the router

Power Supply

  • Use a USB Type-C cable to connect the FLY upper computer to a computer
  • Ensure the USB Type-C cable supports data transfer!
  • After the system boots, the indicator light will flash rapidly!!
  • Flashing indicates the system has started

Connecting via SSH

Connecting to Host Machine SSH via Serial Port Using Web Page

  • Connect the host machine to the computer via USB, then click Device Connect below.

  • If successful, USB Serial or a similar device will be displayed.

  • Select the corresponding device, then click Connect.

  • A prompt will appear upon successful connection.

  • FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow.

  • Starting from version V1.3.2, the FAST system automatically logs in via serial connection by double-clicking or pressing Enter twice consecutively.

  • The content shown in the image below will appear after pressing Enter.
