Firmware Flashing Guide

Please read this section carefully before compiling and flashing the firmware!!!

Notes

• D7 has been pre-flashed with Katapult firmware since units produced on September 1, 2024
• Once the BL has been flashed once, there is no need to flash the BL again (BL for D7 is Katapult firmware)
• BL is only a boot loader used to load the Katapult firmware; the Klipper firmware also needs to be flashed

Determine the Firmware You Need

• Please note that you only need to flash one of the firmware options

• D7 can connect to the host computer using the following two methods
• USB Firmware (Most Common)
  • Advantage: Reliable and stable communication
  • Disadvantage: If multiple USB devices are connected, it may affect data transmission
• USB Bridging Firmware (Commonly used when using CAN tool boards)
  • Advantage: Multiple devices can be connected without occupying a USB port
  • Disadvantage: Using it together with KlipperScreen may cause errors such as homing timeout
