Firmware Flashing Instructions

How to Determine the Firmware You Need

Caution
  • Note: Since the C8P is a motherboard integrating both upper and lower computers, if you are not using a CAN tool board, be sure to select the USB firmware!!!
  • When using a CAN tool board, be sure to select the CAN bridge firmware
  • RS232 does not require flashing any firmware onto the motherboard, but the corresponding tool board needs to be flashed with RS232 firmware
  • USB Firmware
    • Advantages: The most commonly used connection method in 3D printers, reliable and stable communication
    • Disadvantages: Multiple USB devices may affect data transmission
  • USB Bridge Firmware
    • Advantages: Allows simultaneous connection of multiple devices without occupying USB ports. Only needed when using a CAN tool board
    • Disadvantages: The first compilation and flashing of firmware can be more troublesome.

DIP Switch Introduction

  • The FLY C8P uses DIP switches to select the connection method between the lower and upper computers. If the DIP switches are set incorrectly, the upper computer may fail to connect to the lower computer. Please pay close attention!!!
