Usage Guide

Important Notes

  • The device must be connected to the internet for first-time use. If your WiFi cannot access the internet, Halo will be unable to retrieve the initial configuration on first boot.
  • All settings on the settings page will only take effect after clicking Save Settings and restarting the device.
  • The filament jam detection feature is disabled by default. After enabling it in settings and restarting, you can access it by swiping up from the home screen.
  • The print completion shutdown function is disabled by default and can be enabled in settings.
  • All buttons in pop-ups that require canceling or pausing a print must be long-pressed; single clicks are ineffective (to prevent accidental touches).
  • On the System Services page, the Host service refers to the upper computer host.
  • When using official firmware, do not attempt to replace the main control chip or FLASH chip.
Tip
  • Note: If your moonraker.conf configuration file exceeds 4MB in size, you may not be able to use it properly. If an anomaly occurs, please reduce the size of the moonraker.conf configuration file.

System Firmware Update

  • Halo version updates come in two types: full updates and OTA incremental updates.
    • Full update: Involves major underlying upgrades, requiring USB flashing of the full firmware package.
    • Incremental update: Standard OTA upgrade, available via checking for updates on the device information page.

Using Phone to Scan QR Code and Configure WiFi

Tip
  • Some mobile devices may not have the feature to scan a QR code to connect to WiFi. You can connect to the hotspot named FLY-halo-xxxxxxxx in your phone's WiFi settings.
Tip
  • If no webpage pops up after connecting to the hotspot, you need to manually open the link in your browser.
Tip
  • Please note that Halo can only use 2.4G WiFi.
Tip
  • The Halo screen cannot detect hidden WiFi networks.

If the phone does not redirect after connecting to WiFi, you can access the console via the following URL

http://192.168.4.1/
