LLL PLUS Buffer

The LLL PLUS buffer is a 3D printer filament buffer launched by Mellow, aiming to improve the stability and print quality of 3D printing. This product adopts high-quality materials and advanced design concepts, with features such as wear resistance and heat resistance, suitable for various types of 3D printers.

Using the LLL PLUS Buffer

The LLL PLUS filament buffer is a device designed for remote filament feeding of 3D printers, aiming to simplify the loading and unloading operations of filaments. This buffer is equipped with two buttons, which are used for feeding and retracting, allowing users to perform electric feeding and retraction operations.

Buffer Function:

When the extruder of the 3D printer feeds, if the filament on the remote end is pulled, the buffer will detect this action and automatically feed a section of filament towards the hot end. Each time a pulling action occurs, the buffer will repeat this filament feeding operation. This can effectively reduce the pulling force on the filament by the extruder, maintain the extruder's pushing force stably, thus improving the stability of print quality.

Filament Runout Detection Function:

The buffer has an internal filament runout detector. When it detects that there is no filament in the buffer, it sends a signal to the 3D printer to pause the printing. To use this function, you need to connect the signal pin and modify the configuration of the 3D printer. However, the buffer function can be used directly without modifying the configuration. Through the above functional design, the LLL filament buffer not only simplifies the filament operation, but also improves the stability of the 3D printing process and the print quality.

  • Please note that the functions can only be used after the filament is connected, otherwise the motor can only be controlled through the button.

Special Notes

  • Before using, please ensure that the buffer is correctly connected to the 3D printer, and the filament is correctly loaded, otherwise it cannot work normally.
  • The feeding and retraction operations of the buffer can be controlled by the buttons, and users can operate according to their needs.
  • If you need to use the filament runout detection function, you need to connect the signal pin and modify the configuration of the 3D printer.
  • If you only use the buffer function, you just need to connect a 12V-24V power supply.

Button Description

  • Firmware Version: V1.0.3
    • Added on the basis of the original function:
    • Click the forward button, PA2 outputs high level for 3s
    • Click the backward button, PA3 outputs low level for 3s
    • Double click any button, the buffer stops working; after reloading, clicking or long pressing any button, the buffer resumes working
